There is a whole Redit thread on people that loose there accounts and find that Epic Games will not give them back there accounts despite them providing proofs that they are asking for.

I personally joined the ever growing ranks of people not getting there Epic Games accounts back despite offering the following information.

• User name
• Email Address
• Date passwords and emails changed
• Dates Games where purchased
• Offered Driving License
• Offered Utility Bill
• Emails they sent me when the password was changed.
• Asked them to change the email address back to before it was changed.

Despite all these proofs they refused to enable me to regain control over the account and access to the games I purchased.

My account was made a long long time ago and I can not remember if I linked my GitHub or Discord account to it (both I have lost control of through this hacking).

The communication with there so called customer service agent seemed like he/she was not interested with the first through to the last message and I believe his/her mind was made that he was not going to give control of that account before he/she opened the support ticket.

After googling and seeing many subreddits I found that I am not the only person that has found the failures of Epic Games customer support in giving controls of there accounts back despite giving the information that Epic Games are asking for, there are thousands of people that have not had there accounts returned to them and the number seems to be growing on a weekly basis.

Why would epic games do this you may ask and the only reason I can come up with is that they want you to to make a new account and purchase the games you have already purchased.

My advice is to use a platform like Steam and use steam guard and a strong password.
If your email has been compromised make a new on or change provider from the one that was hacked to a new one and stay clear of Epic Games until they do what’s right by there customers and improve there customer services.

Epic Games is a platform for buying games made with there game engine and a income source for the developers but it has its shortcomings at the moment of writing and that is in the form of Epic Games customer services and how they are disinterested in helping customers regain control over there accounts following there accounts been hacked.
