The UK Government (Conservatives) are currently reforming the benefits system to get the most vulnerable of our society back into work even if doctors the experts consider them unable to work until they have worked on there mental heath issues but they are some facts that we have to relate to that will increase there issues with there mental health.

The facts speak for themselves with the current state of employment and the cost of living crisis only deepening thanks to the government’s of the past decade, we thought things could only get worse but they can.

 

Current state of employment.

• The average job seeker takes 4 months to secure a job.
• For a low skilled job there are on average 506 applicants per job.
• Large companies generally use an automated service to review application forms and 1 in 4 application forms actually get to see a human.

 

Finding Help.

People that are having mental related issues are currently trying to find help that is not there due to government cutbacks to council services and more and more councils going bankrupt, you may ask are the services not covered by the NHS? well some are but the current state of the NHS is in a shambles with long long waiting times and the fact that the NHS can not currently cope with the amount of patients on waiting lists whilst they are severely under funded, yes the government has returned the funding to the level it was before the conservatives took power in government over a decade ago but it will take more funding and years to get the service back to what it was over a decade ago.

As stated above the NHS is in dire need of funding and I can personally account to this as my daughter was waiting 4 hours for a ECG machine to become available as one of the units broke and they do not have a spare one in the ADU department meaning our unborn children and grandchildren could be a risk.
Another friend was recently in hospital at the same time and her child was taken to the main block for surgical theatre as the ones in the children’s hospital where full and the corridor used to transport was full of broken beds on each side that they can not afford to fix, it has to make you think about the conservatives government’s plans to privatise the NHS like they have always wished to do to better there business partners and there own pockets.

This can not continue as the Conservative party is making us poorer and more unhealthy as a society.

 

Setting us up to fail.

As you may tell from this article and publicly available data that the conservatives as a party are are setting up the average citizen to fail and especially when it comes to the vulnerable citizens that the government is now attacking.

The government wants vulnerable people to not deal with there mental health issues and to take them off benefits before they get any professional help, to find jobs that are simply not there, where they will get sanctioned from benefits in a cost of living crisis.

There are plenty of resources out there to see the current state of the UK and the government plans, they need to call an election before they do any more damage to the UK on the world stage and any more damage to the economy and the citizens of this once great nation.
