UK Corruption
It is more than apparent that the level of corruption within the UK has hit an all time high over the last 10-13 years of tory government.
I am just going to highlight one of many scandals that have been committed by the current government over the past decade to prove my point.
The pure amount of scandals that have been reported over this time has hit a new high and the conflict of interest towards big business is more evident than ever before and the worse part of it is that they get away with it, not even a slapped wrist and even if they where fined for this level of political corruption it would be pocket change for the people involved, there needs to be a tightening of punishment for politicians within our once great country and this change needs to happen now for us to put the great back into Great Briton.
Let’s start with the PPE scandal whilst in the grip of the COVID pandemic, the fact that the contract to supply PPE was given to a company that was not formed until after it was awarded the government contract is itself strange but the amount of MP’s and lord’s that where in control of the company and profiting from it not just a scandal but in fact a form of insider trading like none seen before.
This company that was formed to handle the PPE supply even provided PPE that was not of the correct form or specification and could not be used to protect the most vulnerable and health care workers but was changeable from the public purse.
It frustrates me that this level of corruption is allowed in the UK with no person prisoned over it, it just proves that they are above the law and the law (that they make themselves) does not apply to them and that is why I propose the solution below to combat corruption and conflict of interest by our untrusted politicians.
I propose that all politicians that are at the forefront of politics should have no ties to business, this includes sitting on the board of businesses or representing them, this would stop a lot of the corruption within UK politics and would go some way to avoid insider trading, corruption and conflict of interests.
The politicians should work to what’s best for the UK, the UK economy and the UK citizens and not what’s best for their back pockets and big business that they are affiliated with.
Other topics worth considering.
- The current government is now borrowing more than ever instead of tackling the rising cost of living.
- They have no treaties or contracts to send migrants back to there originating countries so they are stuck in the UK in hotels paid by the public purse.
- They are taking credit for the lowered inflation rates despite the bank of England initiating the drop.
- Selling off Royal Mail despite making £30mil profit that year.
- Selling off SAR despite the MOD wanting to keep it for training their pilots.
- Privatization of schools, letting school’s cherry pick pupils and making funding of schools tied to the score there ranked at.
- The level of funding for the NHS is back to levels when the Labor party was in government.
- PPE Scandal.
- Party gate scandal.
- Immigration policies not effective and expensive to the public purse.
- Omitted data on Brexit campaigns such as the amount of funding we gained back from the EU for pothole repairs, farmers and fishing industry benefits and more.
- Banning on dog breeds instead of tackling the real issue and making owners more responsible, putting in place a system such as dog license and a pet mot at the vets to highlight owners that are not been responsible, thus there will be more attacks with different breeds in the future.
There is a lot more to cover on these topics and list is too extensive to list here.
